Dr. Karen Flannery, M.D. brings more than two decades of Palm Beach County medical practice to her role as a Healing Alliance Foundation board member. She earned her medical degree from Rush University in Chicago and completed her Internal Medicine training at the University of South Florida in 2001. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine, and has pursued additional training at Harvard Medical School in psychopharmacology and mind-body medicine, along with a botanical medicine certification from Cornell University. Dr. Flannery previously served as Chief of Staff at Good Samaritan Medical Center and remains on the medical staff at Jupiter Medical Center. She is the Founder and Medical Director of Palm Beach Wellness Institute, where she treats patients with complex medical and co-occurring psychological conditions and leads an integrated recovery team, including its dedicated recovery program at PB Recovery MD. Her work centers on treating addiction as a chronic medical condition and reducing the stigma surrounding it.
